Role Overview
This position is based at a customer site in Cork and suits someone with hands-on technical troubleshooting ability, experience supporting laboratory IT environments, and a strong grasp of GMP requirements. It is a specialised support role rather than a standard desktop support position, with a focus on laboratory equipment, regulated workflows, and compliance-driven operations.
Responsibilities
- Act as the initial support contact for issues affecting laboratory equipment, and route more complex matters to CSV or IT teams when needed.
- Carry out routine checks on lab systems, including access permissions and audit trail records.
- Process user access requests for laboratory platforms in line with internal procedures.
- Assist with commissioning and qualification work for new laboratory equipment.
- Help organise the installation and rollout of newly purchased lab systems.
- Work closely with IT, Quality, and Validation teams to maintain GMP compliance.
- Support the handover of two internal team members into the new qualification group and contribute to onboarding and training activities.
- Keep records, documentation, and logs accurate and aligned with regulatory expectations.

- Waters HPLC systems
- Agilent HPLC systems, including 9 instruments
- Bioassay instruments
- Plate washers
- Teacan systems
- Equipment used across bioassay, wet chemistry, and general laboratory settings
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of laboratory systems and data integrity concepts.
- Practical experience with user access administration and audit trail review.
- Familiarity with lab workflows and equipment setup processes.
- Well-developed troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Clear communication skills and strong organisational capability.
- Comfort working independently as well as in a cross-functional team.
- Exposure to qualification activities such as IQ, OQ, and PQ.
- Understanding of both clinical and commercial laboratory operations.
