Job description
Overview
We are looking for an Industrial Services (IS) Operative to perform industrial cleaning tasks across various client sites. The role involves the use of high-risk confined space entry techniques, operation of high-pressure water jetting equipment, and specialized tools to clean and decontaminate industrial systems such as tanks, vessels, pipe networks, and land. The operative will contribute to large turnaround projects primarily on COMAH and other safety-critical sites throughout the UK. This position requires teamwork, a motivated attitude, willingness to travel extensively, and occasional overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute industrial cleaning operations using high-risk confined space entry procedures.
- Operate high-pressure water jetting and other specialist equipment to remediate and decontaminate industrial plant and land areas.
- Support large-scale turnaround and project activities across multiple locations in the UK.
- Work collaboratively with a skilled team under potentially challenging conditions, including night shifts away from home.
- Comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations on all sites.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- HP Water Jetting certification or equivalent experience (preferred).
- Breathing Apparatus certification or related experience (preferred).
- Confined Space certification or prior experience working in confined spaces (preferred).
- Possession of a current driving license, ideally with towing capability.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive and helpful demeanor.
