Job Overview
We are looking for an Industrial Janitor to work within our active intermodal logistics facility. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and safety of warehouse environments, yards, and shop areas, often around heavy machinery and outdoor settings. This is not a traditional office cleaning role.
Compensation and Schedule
- Starting hourly wage: $25.70
- After 6 months: $27.70 per hour
- Workdays: Monday to Friday with daily scheduling
- Shift start times vary between 10 AM and 1 PM
- Overtime shifts on weekends as needed
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform janitorial cleaning tasks throughout the warehouse and industrial areas
- Operate various cleaning equipment including warehouse floor sweepers, forklifts, and road sweeping trucks; training will be provided
Working Conditions
- Shift assignments are determined daily and according to seniority
- Work environment comprises both indoor and outdoor industrial locations such as warehouses and lumber yards
- Exposure to weather elements including heat, cold, rain, and ambient noise
- Regular interaction with operating heavy equipment on site
