Position Overview

The Boston Celtics are seeking an engaging and energetic In-Arena Co-Host to energize game nights at TD Garden. This part-time role entails leading live promotions, interactive contests, and fan engagement activities to enhance the in-game atmosphere for audiences of over 19,000. The successful candidate will bring a compelling stage presence and thrive in fast-paced, live environments to create unforgettable Celtics experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the co-host during selected Celtics home games, energizing the crowd and guiding in-arena activities.
  • Lead live promotions, fan contests, and interactive experiences to maintain high audience involvement throughout the event.
  • Contribute to community, fan, and partner events as part of co-host duties.
  • Participate actively in pregame briefings, rehearsals, and production run-throughs to ensure event readiness.
  • Collaborate with the Live Production & Entertainment team, stage managers, and mascot personnel to deliver seamless in-arena activations.
  • Prepare in advance by reviewing game-related assignments, promotional materials, and event responsibilities.
  • Adapt swiftly to changing priorities and perform confidently in live, fast-moving settings.
  • Follow production directions and maintain clear, consistent communication while owning assigned tasks.
  • Support miscellaneous Live Production & Entertainment projects and initiatives as needed.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 18 with at least a high school diploma or equivalent credential.
  • Availability for all Boston Celtics home games, including preseason, regular season, and playoffs.
  • Prior experience in live hosting, announcing, emceeing, or on-camera roles.
  • Strong, confident on-camera presence with poise and high energy.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal interaction abilities.
  • Good understanding of basketball and familiarity with the Boston Celtics brand.
  • Highly self-motivated, organized, detail-conscious, and dependable.
  • Flexible schedule accommodating nights, weekends, holidays, and irregular hours.
  • Must live in or have lodging arrangements within the New England region.

Compensation Details

  • Games: Flat fee of $250 per game or hourly rate of $15, whichever is greater.
  • Community appearances: Flat fee of $150 per event or $15 hourly, whichever is greater.
  • Season ticket/sponsor appearances: Flat fee of $250 or $15 per hour, whichever exceeds.
  • Content engagements: $150 per activity or hourly $15, whichever is higher.
  • Rehearsals: Flat rate $50 per rehearsal or $15 hourly, whichever is greater.
