Role and Responsibilities
As an Integral Career Coach under the Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) initiative, you will support individuals with disabilities, injuries, or health conditions in preparing for and securing meaningful jobs. Your involvement spans from initial conversations to job applications and interview preparation.
- Collaborate closely with clients to plan and pursue their next career moves.
- Develop strong client relationships to understand goals, strengths, and support requirements.
- Provide customized coaching with consistent follow-ups to sustain client motivation and progress.
- Link participants to relevant skill-building opportunities, practical experience, and group activities.
- Engage with employers and community services to create pathways for employment and training.
- Aim to meet or exceed all performance targets and benchmarks.
- Embody Breakthru’s values of inclusion, empowerment, and person-centered practice in all engagements.
Candidate Profile
We seek empathetic, energetic candidates passionate about employment services who are adept at supporting individuals toward sustainable careers. Effective communication, relationship management, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Desirable qualifications in Employment or Human Services fields such as Mental Health, Psychology, or Social Work.
- Experience working in employment services, especially supporting people with disabilities or health challenges.
- Proven success in achieving KPIs and crafting client-centered employment and skills plans.
- Confidence in client marketing to employers and facilitating group programs.
- Strong communication, problem-solving capabilities, and stakeholder engagement expertise.
- Familiarity with disability-related laws, support strategies, and labor market trends.
- Valid Driver’s License is mandatory.
