Hygiene Technician – Porirua, Wellington

About the Role

Join Rentokil Initial as a proactive Hygiene Technician based in Porirua, Wellington. This role involves delivering on-site hygiene and cleanliness services across Wellington, Porirua, and neighboring areas, Monday to Friday. You will be equipped with a company vehicle to facilitate your daily commute and tasks. The position suits an individual who values variety in work, enjoys autonomy, and excels in building customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently load and unload service vehicles to prepare for daily assignments.
• Carry out cleaning services in washrooms and public toilets following detailed job guidelines and client standards.
• Replenish and maintain hygiene items such as toilet paper, soap dispensers, sanitary bins, air fresheners, and hand sanitisers.
• Identify hygiene risks and promptly address client concerns to improve premises hygiene standards.
• Document services rendered by completing accurate service reports.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Remain attentive to client needs and seek opportunities to enhance service quality.

Candidate Requirements

• Legal entitlement to work full-time and permanently in New Zealand.
• Possession of a valid full and clean driver’s license plus a clean criminal record.
• Effective communication skills coupled with strong customer service orientation.
• Physical fitness with a heightened awareness of health and safety protocols.
• Self-driven with strong organizational and time management capabilities.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to uphold high standards.
• Comfortable with smartphone apps and digital technology tools.
• Willingness to travel extensively and stay overnight away from home when required.
• Previous experience in cleaning or hygiene services is advantageous but not mandatory.
