Role Overview

We are seeking a Hygiene Operator to join our night shift team at our chilled processed potato facility located in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire. This full-time role operates Sunday through Thursday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The position reports to the Hygiene Team Leader or Hygiene Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize all production-related equipment, machinery, utensils, and work areas.
  • Perform deep cleaning duties aligned with the hygiene schedule.
  • Follow color-coded cleaning equipment protocols consistently.
  • Accurately complete documentation including cleaning records and checklists.
  • Handle, dilute, and store cleaning chemicals correctly and safely.
  • Comply with COSHH, food safety, and workplace health & safety procedures at all times.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and maintain it properly.
  • Report any issues regarding hygiene, safety, maintenance, or quality to management promptly.
  • Keep cleaning cupboards, equipment, and storage areas clean and orderly.
  • Collaborate with production teams to uphold Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
  • Support audits and inspections as needed.
  • Work effectively with colleagues to meet hygiene and cleanliness objectives.

  • Maintain exemplary food safety, hygiene, and housekeeping standards.

Candidate Requirements
