Role Overview
We are seeking a Hygiene Operator to join our night shift team at our chilled processed potato facility located in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire. This full-time role operates Sunday through Thursday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The position reports to the Hygiene Team Leader or Hygiene Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all production-related equipment, machinery, utensils, and work areas.
- Perform deep cleaning duties aligned with the hygiene schedule.
- Follow color-coded cleaning equipment protocols consistently.
- Accurately complete documentation including cleaning records and checklists.
- Handle, dilute, and store cleaning chemicals correctly and safely.
- Comply with COSHH, food safety, and workplace health & safety procedures at all times.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and maintain it properly.
- Report any issues regarding hygiene, safety, maintenance, or quality to management promptly.
- Keep cleaning cupboards, equipment, and storage areas clean and orderly.
- Collaborate with production teams to uphold Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
- Support audits and inspections as needed.
- Work effectively with colleagues to meet hygiene and cleanliness objectives.

- Maintain exemplary food safety, hygiene, and housekeeping standards.
