Role overview
This position leads HVAC, CRAC, and ICWS activities in a demanding operational setting. The role calls for strong hands-on knowledge of facility equipment and plant operations, including building systems, chillers, air-conditioning, ventilation, and structural repair work. The lead is expected to oversee, diagnose, and bring systems back online, while coordinating preventive maintenance schedules and work orders. Daily field inspections and support to craft personnel are also part of the job.
Core duties
- Guide facility-system operations and support the upkeep of HVAC, CRAC, and chilled water equipment.
- Diagnose faults, repair equipment, and restore service as quickly and safely as possible.
- Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance tasks and work-order assignments.
- Carry out daily supervisory field checks and assist assigned craftsmen with their tasks.
- Provide responsive support to company and customer representatives in a professional manner.
- Be available for after-hours calls and urgent work needs.
- Follow company policies and support organizational procedures at all times.
Education and experience
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- At least 5 years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial or industrial HVAC/R systems, including CRAC and industrial chilled water systems, is required.
- The candidate must be a journeyman HVAC technician with a valid CFC Universal license/certification.
- Must be capable of troubleshooting and repairing CRAC systems.

Additional requirements
The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain physically fit enough to meet OSHA-related expectations. If a company vehicle is assigned, a valid current driver’s license is required and the vehicle must be operated safely. A valid U.S. driver’s license is mandatory, and a valid U.S. passport is preferred. Candidates must be able to satisfy all current USCENTCOM deployment policy requirements, obtain and maintain a valid Qatar residency visa, and hold a DoD Secret clearance that remains active. The position involves 100% travel in a deployed location and may require long hours, exposure to dust, extreme heat, weather, and hazardous conditions.
