Overview
This leadership role involves full responsibility for the HR function in Ireland combined with strategic partnership to an international business unit and advisory support across developing global markets. It requires managing HR operations for approximately 300 employees in multiple Irish locations while collaborating with senior stakeholders across global and regional teams in a matrix environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and manage day-to-day HR operations and employee relations in Ireland.
- Ensure adherence to Irish employment laws and regulations.
- Act as a trusted HR advisor to managers and staff, delivering consistent, high-standard HR services.
- Strategically partner with a global business function to align people strategies with commercial goals.
- Support organisational design, workforce planning, and drive talent, leadership, and performance initiatives.
- Provide expert guidance on change management and other workforce challenges.
- Support smaller or emerging international markets by establishing HR processes and ensuring compliance.
- Collaborate with external partners including payroll and legal advisors to build scalable HR frameworks in new regions.
- Focus on operational excellence and contribute to development of HR systems and vendor relationships to support business growth.
- Foster strong stakeholder relationships across geographies and functions while enhancing HR consistency across regions.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in HR effectiveness and maturity globally.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or Senior HR Business Partner, ideally in international or matrix environments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Irish employment law, with familiarity of other jurisdictions considered a plus.
- Track record supporting business transformation, growth, or entry into new markets.
- Confidence in influencing and coaching stakeholders at various levels.
- Ability to operate effectively at both a strategic and operational level.
- Experience collaborating with external HR and legal service providers.
- Strong communication skills; additional language proficiencies are advantageous.
