Role overview

We are hiring a Regional Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Specialist to join the HUB Europe HSE team supporting the Transformers Business Unit. The position plays a key role in assisting European geographical areas and local operating units with HSE initiatives, strategic programs, and ongoing improvement work.

This opportunity may be based in Portugal (Oeiras, Porto), Spain (Cordoba, Bilbao, Madrid, Zaragoza), Italy (Monselice, Milano), or another location in Europe.

Key responsibilities

  • Support business units at both local and regional levels in delivering HSE programs.
  • Track business unit activities and help HUB teams strengthen the HSE management system and its KPIs.
  • Plan, roll out, and review HSE strategic plans while identifying opportunities to improve them.
  • Introduce and oversee HSE management processes, strategic improvement programs, and corrective actions.
  • Help ensure every factory has the HSE capability needed to meet current and future capacity needs, aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Assist with preparation for internal and external HSE audits and follow through on non-conformity resolution.
  • Help coordinate the IT tools used to support HSE strategic development activities.
  • Assess progress across HUB EUC HSE strategic initiatives and verify compliance with targets.
  • Support incident learning by reviewing past events and implementing corrective actions from TRI and HPI investigations.
  • Strengthen HSE procedures, documentation, and other supporting materials as needed.

Candidate profile

  • A university degree in Occupational Safety and Health, or a closely related field, is required.
  • More than 6 years of relevant HSE experience, ideally supporting international operations, and over 4 years working with HSE strategic plans and campaigns.
  • Background in HSE roles across servicing, manufacturing, testing, and HSE administration/management.
  • Practical knowledge of ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 50001:2018, along with HSE reporting and KPI tracking.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and globally for around 10-20% of the time.
  • Strong English communication skills are essential.
