Overview
Hitachi Energy is looking for an experienced Project Manager to take charge of energy-sector projects and steer them to completion within the agreed scope, budget, and schedule. The role calls for strong coordination across teams and stakeholders, along with a disciplined approach to risk management and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full project lifecycle, from launch and planning through execution, tracking, control, and final handover.
- Work with senior leaders and stakeholders to clarify project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Create detailed project plans covering timelines, staffing, and budget estimates.
- Build, guide, and manage project teams while supporting motivation and performance.
- Keep stakeholders informed with regular progress updates, issue resolution, and expectation management.
- Spot project risks early and put mitigation and contingency measures in place.
- Monitor project spending and ensure financial targets and budget controls are maintained.
- Oversee purchasing and procurement activities for required materials and services.
- Carry out post-completion reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future delivery.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for senior management and clients.
- Ensure work is aligned with relevant internal policies, external regulations, and operating procedures.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should bring a strong project delivery background in complex environments, excellent leadership ability, and the confidence to coordinate across multicultural and geographically distributed teams.
Education and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
- PMP or an equivalent project management certification is preferred.
- At least 7 years of progressive project management experience is required, ideally in the energy, power, or infrastructure sectors.
- A proven record of delivering complex projects on schedule and within budget is essential.
- Working knowledge of established project management methods and tools is needed.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are important for success in this role.
- Ability to handle several projects at once and prioritize tasks effectively is required.
- Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 is expected.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability are necessary.
- Comfort working with multicultural teams across different locations is required.
- Strong spoken and written English and Arabic skills are required.
