About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on and safety-focused HSE Executive to manage health, safety, and environmental compliance across transportation, heavy vehicle, and crane hiring activities. This role is suited to someone who has worked in logistics, lifting operations, construction, or heavy equipment environments and can enforce safety standards at workshops, yards, and client locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Run daily toolbox talks and safety briefings for drivers, crane operators, riggers, helpers, and other site staff.
- Make sure company HSE procedures and client-specific safety rules are followed at all times.
- Check cranes, trailers, lifting tools, tackles, and PPE to confirm they are safe, functional, and compliant.
- Oversee loading, unloading, transport, and lifting activities to reduce unsafe work practices.
- Carry out regular safety checks at workshops, yards, vehicles, and project sites.
- Look into accidents, incidents, and near misses, then prepare detailed reports and corrective action plans.
- Keep HSE records updated, including inspection logs, statutory registers, and safety checklists.
- Ensure first aid kits, fire extinguishers, emergency gear, and safety signs are available and properly maintained.
- Conduct safety induction sessions, refresher training, fire drills, rescue drills, and emergency evacuation drills.
- Work closely with operations, maintenance, and client teams to ensure work is executed safely.
- Assist with internal, external, client, and ISO audits, and follow up until all safety observations are closed.
- Help build and maintain a strong safety-first culture across transportation and crane operations.
Requirements
- Prior experience in HSE, preferably in logistics, construction, lifting, heavy vehicle, or heavy equipment operations.
- Practical understanding of workplace safety practices, vehicle safety, and lifting equipment inspections.
- Ability to identify risks at workshops, yards, sites, and during transport activities.
- Experience in incident investigation and report preparation.
- Knowledge of HSE documentation, audits, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Comfortable coordinating with operational teams, clients, and site personnel.
- Capable of conducting training sessions, drills, and safety briefings.
