Overview
This leadership position is responsible for setting the strategic direction and roadmap for HR systems that align with the organization's long-term HR goals and overall business plan. The incumbent will lead the deployment, upgrading, and continual enhancement of HR systems including configuration, data migration, integration, and automation efforts to adapt to organizational changes. They will also create and maintain analytical HR dashboards and reports to deliver meaningful insights supporting data-informed decision-making throughout the company. Additionally, the role involves stakeholder communication to promote understanding and acceptance of HR system capabilities while fostering cooperation with IT and other departments to ensure seamless implementation and optimization of HR technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the team responsible for HR information systems.
- Control and oversee all aspects of HRIS operations including strategy formation, deployment, and upkeep.
- Manage HRIS projects effectively, coordinating with internal teams, IT, and vendors to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Design and execute system modifications that address evolving organizational HR needs.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant laws regarding HR information.
- Analyze human resources data and produce reports to aid strategic decision-making at the executive level.
- Collaborate with technical teams on integrating various HR technologies.
- Handle vendor relationships and contract management for HR system providers.
- Lead RFP processes for new HR technology projects, working closely with procurement for evaluation and selection.
- Partner with IT and technical staff to develop, test, and maintain robust Workday integrations such as inbound/outbound interfaces, EIBs, and Core Connectors connecting HR with payroll, benefits, and third-party systems.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience managing HR system implementations and specifically Workday integration projects.
- Comprehensive expertise in Workday platform and emerging technologies like Generative AI and Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
- Strong knowledge of core HR functions including compensation, benefits, performance management, and recruitment.
- Up-to-date understanding of HR best practices and trends in HR technology advancement.
- Proficiency in HR data management principles and analytical techniques.
- Experienced in project management methodologies.
- Strategic thinker capable of aligning technology initiatives with business goals.
- Skilled in system analysis and design with a capability to translate business requirements into practical HRIS solutions.
- Deep understanding of Workday integration frameworks such as EIBs, Core Connectors, Document Transformation, and REST/SOAP Web Services along with data mapping for enterprise-wide systems.
- Effective leadership abilities to inspire and guide a team.
- Strong critical thinking skills and adept at complex problem-solving.
