Role Overview

The HR Specialist for HR Information System (HRIS) and Payroll is tasked with ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and optimal functioning of the HRIS while also providing critical payroll support. This role acts as the key expert for HR systems within the organization, primarily focusing on SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) and related platforms. Responsibilities include maintaining precise employee data, facilitating system updates and upgrades, managing user support, and guaranteeing smooth payroll operations including statutory reporting and audit assistance.

Key Duties

  • Function as the primary HRIS contact for SAP HCM and other associated HR systems.
  • Keep employee master data accurate, consistent, and comprehensive.
  • Execute bulk data uploads, mass updates and perform routine system upkeep.
  • Carry out regular data audits and validation checks to ensure high data quality.
  • Detect system problems and propose improvements to streamline HR functions and enhance user experience.
  • Collaborate with IT departments, SAP consultants, and external vendors for system configurations, testing, and resolving issues.
  • Support implementations, upgrades, and integration of new HR functionalities.
  • Prepare detailed system reports, dashboards, and engage in HR data analytics as needed.
  • Create and update HRIS documentation including user guides and standard operating procedures.
  • Train HR personnel on system usage and provide ongoing technical support.
  • Serve as backup resource for payroll processing, ensuring uninterrupted payroll services.
  • Assist with monthly payroll preparation, including data validation and reconciliation.
  • Check payroll inputs such as employee movements, leave records, overtime, allowances, deductions, and final settlements for accuracy.
  • Manage End of Service Benefits (EOSB) calculations and related paperwork.
  • Address staff inquiries regarding payroll and pension matters.
  • Ensure compliance of payroll records with organizational policies and legal requirements.
  • Support payroll audits and generate statutory reports as required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Between 4 to 6 years of practical experience in HRIS, payroll, or HR operations.
  • Proficient in SAP HCM, SuccessFactors, or similar HRIS platforms with a strong track record of leading SAP implementations from Hire to Retire (H2R) processes.
  • Experienced in payroll processing and managing HR master data.
  • Familiarity with HR reporting, data analysis, and system project implementations is advantageous.
