Role Overview
As an HR Operations Specialist, you will be the pivotal force ensuring that People-related processes operate seamlessly, compliantly, and at scale. Beyond mere execution, you will act as a strategic partner, influencing the design and continual improvement of these processes. This role combines operational proficiency with an analytical mindset and strategic insight, turning HR operations into a competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership and continuously enhance end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, contract management, changes, and offboarding to deliver a smooth employee experience.
- Develop, maintain, and update HR policies, procedural documentation, and process mappings; proactively identify gaps and recommend improvements.
- Ensure data accuracy within the HR Information System (HRIS) and create regular as well as on-demand people analytics reports that support organizational decision-making.
- Act as the principal liaison with external payroll service providers in Germany.
- Manage monthly payroll operations by reviewing inputs, validating outputs, resolving discrepancies, and guaranteeing timely and accurate payroll delivery.
- Monitor service level agreements and provider performance; conduct periodic evaluations and escalate any issues related to quality or compliance.
- Remain informed about legislative changes affecting payroll such as tax, social security, and leave entitlements, ensuring payroll compliance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 5 years experience in HR Operations, People Operations, or an equivalent role, preferably within technology companies, consultancy firms, or fast-paced multinational environments.
- Proven experience managing or coordinating relationships with external payroll vendors.
- Highly structured, detail-oriented, and dependable with a commitment to accuracy and timeliness.
- Strong analytical skills with an eagerness to leverage data for insights and improvements.
- A practical problem-solver capable of identifying issues and implementing effective solutions independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills enabling trust-building at all organizational levels.
- Fluent proficiency in both German and English languages.
Salary and Compensation
The annual remuneration for this role ranges from €50,000 to €60,000, based on factors such as professional experience, relevant expertise, and educational background.
