About CacheFly
CacheFly provides high-speed, secure content delivery services to customers around the world. The organization is performance-led, works remotely by default, and places strong emphasis on ownership, accountability, and fast execution. As the company expands, it is seeking an experienced HR Manager to take charge of the employee journey from hiring and onboarding through performance management and benefits for a worldwide team.
Role Overview
This is a practical, high-impact position that covers the entire employee lifecycle. A large share of the role centers on technical recruitment, including attracting and hiring engineers, infrastructure professionals, and other technical specialists important to the business. In addition to hiring, the role owns the performance management framework built on EOS, supports leaders in strengthening expectations, and helps managers lead with consistency and accountability.
Reporting to the CFO, you will collaborate closely with leadership to keep people practices clear, equitable, and tied to business results. The role suits an HR generalist who enjoys building structure, taking ownership, and working independently as the only HR professional on the team.
Global Talent Acquisition
- Lead end-to-end hiring for all positions, with a strong emphasis on technical roles such as engineering and infrastructure.
- Work with hiring managers to clarify role expectations, success measures, compensation, and final hiring decisions.
- Oversee sourcing, interview coordination, offer preparation, background verification, and onboarding.
- Make sure hiring practices remain compliant across different countries and worker categories.
- Keep the candidate journey smooth, efficient, and focused on continuously improving the quality of talent.
HR Business Partner & Employee Relations
- Act as the main HR point of contact for employees, managers, and senior leaders.
- Coach managers on expectation-setting, feedback delivery, performance handling, and employee issues.
- Support key employee-life events, including reviews, performance-related actions, and exits.
- Address employee concerns and workplace conflicts with judgment, care, and confidentiality.
- Stay attuned to culture, engagement, and morale by creating regular feedback channels.
HR Operations
- Manage benefits administration, including enrollments, renewals, and vendor follow-up.
- Handle payroll inputs, HR systems, recordkeeping, and reporting in coordination with Finance.
- Protect the accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance of HR data.
- Assist with compensation administration and market benchmarking.
- Keep HR policies and documentation current and aligned with the company’s operating style.
Training, Onboarding & Remote Culture
- Own onboarding programs that explain expectations, responsibilities, and how work is carried out at CacheFly.
- Partner with managers to identify skill gaps and development needs.
- Arrange internal or external training that supports manager effectiveness and employee development.
- Maintain required compliance training and internal HR reference materials.
- Encourage effective remote-working habits and team connection in a distributed-first environment.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of practical HR experience in a generalist or HR manager capacity.
- A proven record of hiring for technical roles such as engineering or infrastructure; experience in tech is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Experience working as the only HR person or in a very lean HR setup.
- Strong experience across global recruitment, employee relations, and HR operations.
- Working knowledge of U.S. employment law; exposure to global or contractor-related hiring is preferred.
- Strong organization skills, pragmatic thinking, and a high level of trustworthiness with sensitive information.
- Comfort collaborating closely with Finance and senior leaders.
- Confidence using modern HR platforms and systems.
Benefits
- Competitive compensation plus a 15% target annual bonus.
- Comprehensive health coverage covering medical, dental, vision, LTD/STD, and life insurance, with most costs covered by the company.
- 401(k) plan with a 4% Safe Harbor match that is fully vested from the first day.
- Unlimited paid time off, all U.S. federal holidays, and flexible working hours.
- Remote-first working environment, including a substantial work-from-home stipend and a monthly allowance for internet and phone expenses.
Additional Information
The role is designed for someone who can build effective people programs and hire strong technical talent while operating in a remote-first setup. The company is looking for an HR professional who can make practical systems work well in day-to-day operations.
