Job description

Industrial Relations Management

  • Maintain balanced and positive relations among management, employees, and contract labor force.
  • Manage interactions, negotiations, and resolutions with labor unions effectively.
  • Address employee grievances promptly to ensure satisfactory settlements.
  • Contribute to collective bargaining processes and facilitate long-term agreements.

Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure strict adherence to all relevant labor laws and statutory regulations.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with laws including the Factories Act, Industrial Relations Code, CLRA, PF, ESI, and Minimum Wages Act.
  • Engage with labor officials, factory inspectors, and government representatives regularly.
  • Manage statutory audits, inspections, and maintain compliance records systematically.

Contract Labor Management

  • Supervise the deployment and regulatory compliance of contract labor at the facility.
  • Ensure contractors fulfill obligations related to labor licenses, wages, welfare provisions, PF, ESI, and other statutory requirements.
  • Conduct regular contractor audits and compliance assessments.
  • Keep track of manpower levels and enforce workforce discipline consistently.

Disciplinary & Legal Matters

  • Manage disciplinary proceedings, domestic inquiries, and investigate misconduct cases.
  • Prepare formal documentation such as charge sheets, warning notices, and disciplinary correspondence.
  • Collaborate with legal teams for matters relating to labor courts and industrial disputes.
  • Maintain detailed records of disciplinary and legal case proceedings.

Employee Engagement & Welfare

  • Implement programs promoting employee welfare and effective grievance redressal.
  • Organize awareness initiatives about workplace policies and labor law compliance.
  • Support communication initiatives and activities to enhance workforce engagement.
  • Foster a constructive work environment and implement measures to prevent disputes.
