Position Overview

This role serves as the assistant to the Personnel Director at the Eastern Shore Hospital Center in Cambridge, Maryland. It offers expert-level administrative and support services within the personnel department.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

The candidate will perform paraprofessional personnel duties including preparing and maintaining employment records, calculating salaries, interpreting relevant rules and policies, compiling personnel reports, advising employees on benefits and obligations, and handling employment-related inquiries. The position requires at least one year of general clerical or administrative support experience, with six months focused on personnel procedures and policies.

Military experience as a non-commissioned officer in human resources roles may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to analyze data ensuring compliance with governmental regulations
  • Experience in assembling documents and managing appointment scheduling
