This position, located within the Quality Assurance and Compliance Division at the Prince George's County Department of Social Services in Landover, Maryland, is at grade 15. The primary function is to oversee quality assurance and quality control reviews, monitoring, and reporting for agency programs, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal policies and program mandates. The role involves coordinating compliance activities and providing technical assistance aimed at enhancing service delivery and performance in Child, Adult, and Family Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit final evaluation reports and track various system improvement initiatives to guarantee delivery of quality services consistent with Federal, State, County, and Agency regulations.
- Lead coordination for special projects, assisting in the documentation, development, and implementation of operative procedures aligned with applicable policies and guidelines.
- Help develop and update guidelines, policies, standards, controls, and monitoring tools to support the QACD integrity and accountability framework within PGCDSS.
- Execute special assignments and projects as designated.
Qualifications
The position requires seven years of relevant experience, including three years administering human services programs or leading analyses of organizational procedures, plus four years of additional professional or technical experience in similar roles. Alternatively, candidates with a Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience qualify. Graduate-level education in a human services field can substitute for up to six years of experience at the rate of 30 credit hours per year. Military service as a commissioned officer in specific administrative roles can also replace required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year supervisory experience in government agencies at local, state, or federal levels.
- One year of experience managing special projects.
- Experience handling databases and proficient use of spreadsheet applications.
Additional Information
No specific licenses or certifications are required for this role. Successful candidates will be ranked and placed on an eligible list for employment up to one year. If already employed by the State, salary decisions will follow state guidelines.
