About LinkedIn

LinkedIn is the largest professional network in the world, designed to unlock economic opportunities for people across the global workforce. Its products are built to help members form meaningful connections, find new opportunities, develop skills, and gain useful insights each day. The company also places strong emphasis on employee growth and aims to foster a workplace culture rooted in trust, care, inclusion, and enjoyment, so that everyone can thrive.

Join LinkedIn in helping reshape how the world works.

Role overview

LinkedIn is seeking an HR Business Partner to help build a high-impact environment for employees. This role suits a commercially minded HR partner who wants to work closely with a regional talent team and contribute to modern, effective HR practices. You will align people strategy with business goals, provide trusted HR partnership, and help deliver measurable outcomes. In this position, you are expected to help shape career growth and organizational impact.

Work arrangement

This position follows LinkedIn’s flexible-work model, which is based on trust and designed around culture, connection, clarity, and business needs. The role is hybrid, so work will be split between home and a LinkedIn office on selected days, depending on team requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Build a strong understanding of LinkedIn’s business to better support organizational needs.
  • Coach and advise people leaders on a wide range of HR topics and initiatives within their teams.
  • Strengthen manager effectiveness through coaching and the rollout of management development programs and learning opportunities.
  • Review data and trends to identify patterns and create proactive solutions that support business objectives.
  • Work with cross-functional partners to design, operationalize, and execute HR processes that can scale.
  • Spot opportunities to improve efficiency across talent processes and contribute to employee relations and performance management matters.
  • Maintain effective relationships with functional HR partners and centres of excellence, while influencing decisions that affect the business and employees.
  • Balance immediate problem-solving with longer-term fixes by addressing both symptoms and root causes.
  • Collaborate with other HR partners and centres of excellence to ensure alignment and strengthen cross-functional teamwork.
  • Lead strategic conversations with business leaders about future organization design.
  • Act as a role model for LinkedIn’s culture, values, mission, and vision.
  • Make sure all actions and decisions follow compliance requirements, employment laws, internal policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • A degree in HR or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 2 years of HR experience or related experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience carrying out and advising on HR activities in Ireland and the UK.
  • Experience supporting people managers and leaders at Director level and above is preferred.
  • Background in HR disciplines such as organizational development, change management, and employee relations is preferred.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • Practical understanding of employment law, plus prior experience with performance management, employee relations, and data reporting/analytics.
  • Experience working across multiple geographies and cultures, ideally in a sales organization or technology company.
  • Ability to design innovative solutions for business challenges.
  • Capability across the HR spectrum, especially in employee relations, coaching, and change management, with the ability to operate strategically, operationally, and tactically.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly build trust at all levels of an organization.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, shifting situations, and pragmatic decision-making.
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage time effectively, and handle complex projects.
  • Calmness under pressure, strong attention to detail, and a goal-oriented mindset.
  • Flexibility to manage changing priorities while maintaining output quality and service levels.
  • A solid grounding in employment legislation and the ability to translate it into practical advice for leaders.
