Role Overview
This 18-month maternity cover opportunity sits within the People team in Letterkenny. The role is hybrid, with two days on site each week, and reports to the Senior Director, People Business Leader. As the business continues to grow, you will support managers and employees across the organisation by delivering practical, high-quality HR guidance and helping to strengthen people processes and culture. The position also includes oversight and support for two People Specialists.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a dependable HR partner for managers, offering practical advice on matters such as performance management, probation reviews, and team effectiveness.
- Respond to employee queries promptly and professionally, making sure issues are handled in a consistent and supportive way.
- Own employee relations matters from start to finish, working toward timely, fair, and compliant resolutions.
- Assist with compensation and benefits administration, ensuring processes remain aligned and consistent.
- Plan and deliver HR initiatives related to employee engagement, wellbeing, and workplace culture.
What You Bring
- Previous experience in an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist position.
- Hands-on involvement supporting managers through the employee lifecycle, including probation and performance issues.
- Solid employee relations experience with the ability to manage cases independently.
- Good knowledge of Irish employment law.
- A proactive, practical mindset with the ability to move quickly, take initiative, and own outcomes.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to build trust with stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
- Background in a fast-moving or expanding organisation.
- Exposure to compensation and benefits processes.
- Proven ability to prioritise work effectively while operating with strong autonomy and accountability.
