Role Overview
This position partners closely with the KSA Commercial leadership team to advance the people agenda across Sales, Trade, Modern Trade, Traditional Trade, Key Accounts, and eCommerce. The role serves as the primary HR contact for Commercial line managers and turns business needs into practical people solutions covering talent, performance, engagement, workforce planning, and employee relations, while keeping fully aligned with Saudi labor rules and Saudization obligations.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop strong working relationships with Commercial sales leaders and frontline managers across regions and channels.
- Gain a clear understanding of the Commercial operating model, route-to-market setup, and sales objectives, then tailor HR support to those priorities.
- Coach and advise line managers on team effectiveness, organizational structure, and people-related decisions.
- Assist with organization design reviews in the Commercial business unit, including span of control, role definition, and structural changes, in coordination with the Head of HR.
- Support the annual performance management process for the Commercial workforce, including goal setting, calibration, and development planning.
- Work with the Talent Management center of excellence on succession planning, identification of high-potential employees, and development actions for key Commercial roles.
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition center of excellence to support Commercial hiring plans and ensure requisitions follow approved TA governance and Delegation of Authority requirements.
- Assist with onboarding and probation review processes for Commercial hires, with particular focus on frontline sales positions.
- Maintain accurate data on headcount, vacancies, and attrition for the Commercial business unit and share monthly reporting with the Head of HR.
- Track Nitaqat performance and Saudization ratios for the Commercial population, identify risks early, and support localization hiring plans.
- Ensure Iqama professions, employment contracts, and MHRSD records match actual job roles, working with HR Operations to resolve any compliance gaps.
- Contribute to manpower budgeting and FTE versus outsource decisions together with Finance and HR leadership.
- Handle day-to-day employee relations matters across the Commercial business unit, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and investigations, in line with Saudi Labor Law and company policy.
- Apply policies consistently and ensure documentation is maintained across regions and depots.
- Support offboarding, end-of-service, and separation processes, and escalate sensitive matters when required.
- Increase participation in the annual Engagement Pulse Survey for the Commercial workforce and help leaders execute resulting action plans.
- Promote recognition, wellbeing, and communication initiatives across the field sales organization.
- Maintain a visible HR presence in the field through regular visits to regional sales offices and depots.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline; professional HR certification such as CIPD, SHRM, or an equivalent credential is preferred.
- 5 to 7 years of HR experience, including at least 2 years in an HR generalist or HRBP role, ideally supporting sales or commercial teams.
- Prior experience in FMCG, food, or retail environments is strongly preferred.
- Good practical understanding of KSA Labor Law, Nitaqat, and MHRSD requirements.
- Background in supporting large frontline populations spread across multiple locations.
- Comfort using HRIS platforms and strong capability in Excel and PowerPoint.
- English fluency is required; Arabic is highly preferred because of the frontline workforce.
