Role Overview
The Housekeeping - Public Area Attendant is a vital member of the hotel's housekeeping team, responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of all public spaces within the hotel. This role guarantees guests enjoy a pristine and welcoming environment accompanied by courteous and professional service.
Key Duties
- Maintain superior cleanliness across all public areas including lobbies, restaurants, washrooms, hallways, offices, function rooms, and communal spaces.
- Perform detailed cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing, polishing, organizing, and wiping surfaces to uphold high standards and positive guest impressions.
- Manage inventory levels by restocking linens, cleaning agents, beverages like tea and coffee, chemicals, refuse bins, and other supplies.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner, enhancing their hotel experience.
- Promptly report any maintenance or repair needs to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably within a fast-paced hotel or commercial environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness.
- Eager to learn and progress professionally within a supportive hotel team.
- Able to work effectively both individually and as part of a team in a dynamic setting.
- Flexible availability to work rotating shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Possession of valid Australian work rights; sponsorship is not available for this position.
