Job Overview

The Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant plays an essential role behind the scenes, ensuring the village remains clean, comfortable, and respectful for all residents. Joining the Summerset on the Landing village team, you will help maintain a homely environment where residents feel safe and cared for.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high cleanliness standards in residents' rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, laundry, and kitchen spaces.
• Handle laundering tasks including washing, folding, and returning personal clothing and linens with careful attention.
• Label, mend, and care for residents' laundry items to preserve their personal belongings.
• Support infection control and adhere to health and safety guidelines while performing duties.
• Develop respectful and friendly relationships with residents, understanding and catering to their individual needs.

Candidate Profile

• Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in healthcare or hospitality settings.
• Detail-oriented with pride in delivering quality work.
• Physically capable of standing and moving throughout shifts.
• A keen interest in aged care; no prior experience necessary as full training is provided.
