Role overview
This is an immediate hiring opportunity for a Housekeeper at Club Wyndham Kona Coast Resort in Kailua-Kona, HI. No relocation support or housing will be provided for this position.
What the role involves
The Housekeeper supports day-to-day resort operations by keeping resort accommodations and shared spaces clean and meeting established quality standards. The position includes cleaning guest units such as bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and living areas, along with vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and making beds.
The role also includes restocking supplies like toiletries and kitchen items, handling linens by sorting, counting, folding, marking, or transporting them, and maintaining positive working relationships with guests, owners, and colleagues. You will be expected to address guest questions and concerns promptly and professionally, and work toward resolving issues to support a better guest experience.
What you should bring
To succeed in this role, you need to be comfortable in a busy, fast-moving environment, communicate well with employees, guests, and owners, and work on your own while following directions. A polished appearance, a constructive attitude, and a team-oriented mindset are also important. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Compensation and benefits
The starting pay is generally $21.00 per hour, with the final rate determined by factors such as experience, education, skills, training, and the work location.
Associates working 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package that can include medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, life and accident coverage, disability coverage, paid time off, parental leave, holidays, a paid volunteer day, 401(k) with employer match, legal and identity theft protection, voluntary income protection benefits, a wellness program, and an Employee Assistance Program.
