About the Role
Amerit's client, a worldwide leader in medical device development and treatments for chronic illnesses, respiratory disorders, and sleep-related breathing issues, is seeking skilled Data Entry Clerks. This position is offered as a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension or transition to full-time employment. While the role is fully remote, hybrid working options exist for candidates near Coral Springs, FL 33076.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage order resolution activities linked to patient prescriptions and communications with physicians.
- Perform detailed review of prescriptions for accuracy and identify missing or erroneous data.
- Make outbound calls to physician offices to clarify or rectify information.
- Update internal systems with verified patient and prescription data.
- Support the progression of orders through to sales processing.
- Handle high-volume data entry workload, processing at least 50 orders daily.
Work Schedule and Environment
The team covers 9:00 AM ET to 5:00 PM PT, with core hours from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM ET. Some flexibility around core hours is possible to accommodate operations across Eastern and Pacific time zones. Equipment will be supplied. Occasional overtime opportunities may arise.
Candidate Qualifications
- Minimum education: High School Diploma; Associate's Degree preferred.
- At least 3 years' experience in a healthcare environment.
- Strong knowledge of protected health information (PHI) and basic patient demographics.
- Prior data entry experience, preferably in healthcare administration or insurance verification.
- Excellent phone communication skills and professionalism dealing directly with physicians.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision in a fast-paced context.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills essential.
- Capability to quickly learn internal systems.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Familiarity with medical documentation and payer guidelines.
- Some understanding of diagnosis codes is advantageous.
- Healthcare experience is a plus but not mandatory for candidates with strong aptitude and professionalism.

Compensation
Compensation for this role is $20 per hour, paid on a W-2 basis.
