Hotel Maintenance Technician / Handyperson

About The Role

The Ritz-Carlton in Perth is seeking a dedicated Hotel Maintenance Technician / Handyperson to enhance guest experiences through expert maintenance services and relationship building. This position is non-management, full-time, and located on-site at 1 Barrack Street, Perth.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and effectively to guest repair requests and maintenance concerns.
• Engage with guests to address and resolve any maintenance-related issues.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication tasks.
• Visually assess the condition of tools, equipment, and machines to ensure proper functioning.
• Transport necessary tools and equipment during shifts and operate all shut-off valves as required.
• Maintain inventory records, requisition parts and supplies to support maintenance operations.
• Document unfinished maintenance tasks to facilitate smooth shift transitions.
• Handle minor plumbing repairs such as clearing drains and assembling pipe components.
• Use methods like filling pipes with water or air to detect leaks effectively.
• Review architectural blueprints, building codes, and specifications to plan installations accurately.
• Measure, cut, thread, bend, and fit pipes to precise angles and specifications.
• Install and maintain pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, fixtures, and related appliances.
• Perform varied minor repairs as required to uphold facility standards.

Qualifications and Eligibility

• Preferably holds unrestricted working rights within Australia.
• Completion of Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in maintenance or similar technical roles.
