About the Role

CSI Mining Services, a fully owned subsidiary of Mineral Resources Ltd, stands as a prominent mining services provider in Australia, specializing in pit-to-ship operations unique to the resources sector. Operating widely across Western Australia and Queensland, CSI delivers capital infrastructure and comprehensive operational support to Mineral Resources projects and other clients.

Due to ongoing expansion, CSI Mining Services seeks experienced Belt Technicians with expertise in conveyor systems to join our Field Services Maintenance Team. These permanent roles operate on a dynamic 2:1 roster focusing on shutdown activities and offer the chance to enhance your skills with on-site training, career growth on the tools, and leadership development. The positions involve travel to various owner-operated and client locations to undertake scheduled shutdowns, routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and cover other roles as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and maintain conveyor belt components including belts, rollers, frames, skirts, and pulleys.
  • Execute hot and cold splicing techniques on fabric belts utilizing vulcanizing presses and belt-handling tools.
  • Perform spot vulcanizing repairs and mechanical splicing operations.
  • Support planned shutdowns, respond to urgent maintenance requirements, and manage breakdown fixes.
  • Assist with planned preventative maintenance and fixed plant upkeep.

Requirements

  • Strong safety focus and demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.
  • Possession of a current Australian Driver's License.
  • Proven experience with belt splicing or possession of a Polymer Processing Certificate or equivalent qualifications.
  • Confined Space with Gas Testing certification preferred.
  • Working at Heights certification considered advantageous.
  • Valid White Card for construction site access.
