La Clinica de Familia (LCDF) is a federally qualified health center (FQHC) with multiple locations across Southern New Mexico, serving the community for over four decades. Job Overview

This full-time, non-exempt role involves collaborating with families enrolled in the Early Head Start program to build mutual trust and partnership. The primary focus includes assisting families in setting goals and objectives related to pregnancy, child development, education, parent involvement, health, nutrition, and other family concerns. The position demands understanding community resources and facilitating access to necessary services.

Key Responsibilities and Competencies

  • Develop a deep understanding of family challenges and facilitate development of parental and staff skills through active interventions.
  • Possess knowledge of developmentally-appropriate parent-child interactions and community resources.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Lead initiatives with a proactive, adaptable approach.
  • Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, including managing interactive meetings and providing constructive feedback.
  • Organize and analyze information effectively, utilizing computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and spreadsheet software.
  • Plan, develop, and implement business strategies relevant to the program.
  • Maintain expertise in areas such as pregnancy and early parenthood, infant and young child development, family-centered and relationship-based practices, cultural competence, observation, assessment, empathy, advocacy, life skills, and creating safe environments.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a home-based CDA credential or an equivalent credential, or related coursework as part of an Associate's or Bachelor’s degree.
