This position is for a skilled home repair craftsperson based in Johnson City, Tennessee, who can handle a wide range of household repair and maintenance tasks while delivering strong customer service. The team provides the schedule support, customer call handling, a company van, and tools and systems to help you focus on the work itself.

What success looks like

• Working independently for much of the day and managing your own tasks
• Communicating clearly with customers, delivering excellent service, and handling reviews and payment collection
• Bringing your own tools and using technology effectively to complete assigned work
• Following the company’s standard process and documenting each job accurately
• Using required PPE, including shoe covers/booties, to protect customers’ homes

Minimum requirements

• You must live in the local service area
• You need at least 7 years of paid handyman experience
• You must own your own tools
• You need to be eligible for insurance while operating the company vehicle
• You must pass a background check and driving record review
• You should be able to lift up to 50 pounds on your own
• You must be able to work safely at heights and spend extended periods working overhead
• You need to maintain a professional appearance and care for the company vehicle properly

Pay

The compensation for this role is $24.00 to $32.00, based on your background as a professional handyman and your experience with home repair and maintenance work such as carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, and drywall.

This opportunity is with a franchise owner of Mr. Handyman. If hired, the franchise owner will be your direct employer.
