Role overview
Aveanna Healthcare is expanding quickly following a number of recent acquisitions and is hiring a Home Health Scheduler Team Coordinator for its home health team in Smyrna, Georgia. In this role, you will support the clinical operations and management teams with the daily flow of office work and coordination tasks.
Working schedule
This is an in-office role, working Monday through Friday during standard business hours.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome clients, employees, and visitors, and deliver strong service at the front desk.
- Support day-to-day validation and analysis in the EMR platform, Homecare Homebase, while following industry rules.
- Coordinate clinician schedules, notify physicians about care updates, and handle pre-bill review tasks.
- Distribute patient instructions.
- Check that required documentation has been received and follow up with clinicians, clients, and families when needed.
- Handle office phone calls, correspondence, and meeting coordination.
- Keep track of office supply inventory.
- Assist customers and respond to ongoing client and employee needs.
- Help with staff scheduling, client materials, administrative work, and file processing in line with healthcare and government standards.
- Work closely with branches and the home office to keep service and clinical delivery aligned.
- Attend staff meetings and meet regularly with branch leadership for supervision and performance review.
- Follow HIPAA rules and data privacy requirements.
Required qualifications
- Comfort using Microsoft Office tools.
- Background in customer service.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred experience
- Previous experience scheduling in a home health environment.
- Previous long-term care scheduling experience.
- Proven ability to work with clinical assessments, documentation, and policy compliance.
