Overview
Join a remote intake team supporting newly admitted patients through the early stages of care. In this position, you will gather and verify key patient details, confirm insurance information, review prescriptions, and help coordinate the next steps needed to begin services smoothly and compliantly. The focus is on precision, documentation, and patient coordination rather than handling a large volume of calls.
You will work with patients, caregivers, referral sources, and internal teams to complete intake requirements quickly and accurately so care can start without unnecessary delays.
Work schedule and start details
Start date: 8/3/26
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM MST
Candidates located in the Mountain and Pacific time zones will be given preference.
What you will do
- Guide new patient admissions by collecting and entering accurate demographic and clinical information.
- Check insurance coverage and explain or review benefits as needed.
- Submit authorizations and track up on them when follow-up is required.
- Review prescriptions for validity and identify any missing or incomplete documentation.
- Work with patients and referral sources to obtain the information required to complete intake.
- Partner with internal departments to support a timely start of care.
- Keep documentation accurate and compliant with HIPAA requirements.

Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in healthcare intake, medical office administration, or insurance support.
- Experience with insurance verification or authorizations is preferred.
- Background in home health, DME, or a medical office is an added advantage.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
