About JB Hi-Fi
JB Hi-Fi is one of Australia’s most trusted and largest retail groups, known for a hands-on, friendly culture and a strong focus on helping customers with the latest in technology, consumer electronics, home entertainment, and appliances at great prices. The business serves customers through more than 300 stores, its online channel, and its commercial arm, JB Hi-Fi Business.
The company positions itself as a place where people can build their careers, backed by training, development, and a wide range of opportunities across the broader JB Hi-Fi Group.
Role overview
The business is hiring multiple Home Coordinators for store teams across South East Victoria. In this role, you will help build and maintain a high-performing, customer-focused culture while supporting the Home department in store.
Key duties
- Work closely with team members to create a positive experience for both in-store and online shoppers.
- Make sure Home department processes align with legal and compliance requirements, with strong attention to safety, store procedures, and incident reporting.
- Train, guide, and assist sales colleagues across all Home department products and services.
- Help drive sales performance and profitability for the store.
What makes JB Hi-Fi an attractive employer
- A lively, fast-moving workplace where different perspectives are welcomed and new ideas are encouraged.
- Competitive pay, with some roles also including sales commissions and performance-based incentives.
- Access to career progression, learning, and development opportunities across the wider group, including JB Hi-Fi Australia, JB Hi-Fi New Zealand, The Good Guys, and E&S Trading.
- Staff discounts across the group, along with access to the Beny employee benefits app for exclusive offers, wellness extras, and everyday savings.
- 12 weeks of paid parental leave for eligible primary carers, plus a welcome gift for new parents; flexible work arrangements may be available for eligible roles, including hybrid models.
- Employee Assistance Program support for team members and their families, including counselling and wellbeing resources.
- Participation in the Helping Hands workplace giving program, which has raised significant funds for charity partners.
- A sustainability commitment aimed at reaching net zero carbon emissions by 2030, alongside ongoing efforts to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
What the role calls for
You should be comfortable working in a relaxed, upbeat retail setting and bring solid retail experience. A strong understanding of small appliances and whitegoods is important.
You also need customer service experience, cash-handling experience, and familiarity with EFTPOS systems, ideally electronic POS platforms. The role requires confidence in selling retail products and merchandise, along with the ability to perform well under pressure.
Additional information
Applications should include a CV. All submissions are treated confidentially. The employer is committed to equal opportunity, diversity, and inclusion, and encourages applicants to apply even if they do not meet every criterion.
