Overview

Join our holiday club team in Eden Park, Victoria, Australia to enjoy a rewarding role supporting children aged 3 to 12 during school holidays. This position involves delivering exceptional physical, emotional, social and intellectual care in a vibrant and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care across multiple developmental areas for children between 3 and 12 years old.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and enjoyable atmosphere by preparing activity spaces, leading group sessions, and ensuring tidiness post-activities.
  • Support team leaders and follow directives from management effectively.
  • Adhere to relevant legislation, organisational policies, and best practice standards.
  • Represent the club positively to parents, colleagues, and visitors at all times.

Working Pattern and Commitment

This role operates Monday to Friday during school holidays, excluding bank holidays, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Flexible scheduling is available to accommodate your availability.

Compensation and Benefits

  • For individuals aged 18 and over, hourly wage ranges from GBP 10 to GBP 13 depending on experience.
  • Students aged 17 receive GBP 7.55 per hour.
  • Free childcare services for your own children aged 3-12 years are provided.
  • Additional perks include casual dress code, free parking with onsite availability, and good transport links.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

  • Passionate about creating enjoyable experiences for children through diverse activities.
  • Friendly and accessible with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, utilizing initiative and anticipating needs.
  • Minimum one year childcare or nursery experience is essential.
  • Possession of Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification is required.
  • Possession of paediatric first aid and safeguarding certificates is advantageous.
  • Must successfully complete a DBS background check and provide references prior to employment.

Additional Information

Successful candidates will receive specialized training specific to the Fun Fest Holiday Club environment. Our club is registered with Ofsted and focuses on child choice in activities, fostering fun within a safe and structured setting. The role is ongoing with an expected start date of July 24, 2025.
