Role Summary

This on-site role in Dammam is focused on assessing heavy equipment assets for condition, functionality, and safety. The assessor will carry out detailed inspections, record findings, identify repair or maintenance requirements, and prepare reports for both internal stakeholders and clients. The position also involves checking compliance against safety requirements and company standards, keeping accurate documentation, coordinating with operations and maintenance teams on corrective action, supporting valuation and risk reviews, and helping improve assessment tools and procedures.

Functional Duties

  • Evaluate operator competence across heavy equipment categories such as backhoe, bulldozer, forklift, grader, wheel loader, skid loader, backhoe loader, sideboom, telehandler, and other similar machinery.
  • Contribute to the creation of both written and practical assessment materials within the relevant specialty.
  • Carry out assessments in a timely, precise, and professional manner.
  • Prepare assessment analysis and maintain complete records and documentation.
  • Provide mentoring support when needed.
  • Assist with quality assurance audits.
  • Support reviews, revisions, and development of policies and procedures.
  • Follow the standards, policies, and operating procedures of the Heavy Equipment Certifications Unit.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should hold a technical qualification or diploma in a relevant field. A certification in the relevant equipment area is required, such as backhoe, bulldozer, forklift, wheel loader, backhoe loader, or another heavy equipment category. Strong English reading and writing skills are needed, along with an intermediate level of Microsoft Office proficiency. An Assessor Award Qualification from a recognized awarding body is preferred.

The role calls for at least 5 years of industrial experience in the relevant field, 3 years of experience as an instructor, trainer, or teacher, and 3 years of experience working in an assessment or assessor capacity. Experience in developing training and assessment materials will be considered an advantage.
