About the Role
Join HCA UK's patient-focused team at the Elstree Diagnostic Treatment Centre as a Healthcare Assistant providing vital support within a high-quality outpatient and diagnostic environment. Located at Beaufort House, Elstree Rd, this full-time position requires driving ability and involves flexible shifts suited to varied lifestyles.
Working Hours and Location
- Weekday shifts available: 8:00am–4:00pm, 12:00pm–8:00pm, or 8:00am–8:00pm
- Two Saturdays per month from 8:00am to 1:00pm
- Total weekly hours: 37.5
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality clinical care and outstanding patient experience in a fast-paced outpatient and diagnostic unit
- Support clinical teams and assist patients throughout their care pathway
- Perform delegated duties including monitoring vital signs, assisting with ECGs, venepuncture, and cannulation
- Manage patient flow by aiding admissions and discharges
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide clinical and emotional support
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and efficient environment aligned with HCA's commitment to exceptional care
Candidate Requirements
- Previous Healthcare Assistant experience in clinical or outpatient settings
- Competent or willing to train in clinical observations and basic procedures
- Preferred experience with ECGs, venepuncture, or cannulation
- Strong dedication to patient-focused care and excellent customer service
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Proactive mindset with capability to work independently
