Role overview

Join Lister Fertility Clinic at The Lister Hospital as a Healthcare Assistant, supporting patients through every stage of fertility treatment. The clinic is the UK’s largest private IVF unit and has provided fertility care for more than 35 years, combining specialist clinical knowledge with a warm, personalised approach.

Working pattern

This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours each week. The rota is either 8:00am to 6:00pm for four days per week, or 8:00am to 4:00pm across five days per week, with one Saturday each month from 8:00am to 1:00pm.

Contract details

The role is temporary and runs from November 2026 to November 2027. The pay is competitive and depends on experience, with an additional 4% shift enhancement for weekend and bank holiday working.

What you will do

You will work alongside nurses, consultants, and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver attentive, patient-focused support during what can be an emotional and important time for patients. The position involves assisting with clinical procedures, carrying out observations, supporting diagnostic testing, and helping create a smooth and reassuring patient experience.

Experience and background

The clinic is looking for someone with prior experience as a Healthcare Assistant in an acute hospital setting. Experience in a fertility clinic is essential. You should be confident in taking and recording observations such as blood pressure, oxygen saturation, blood glucose levels, and ECG readings. Venepuncture and cannulation experience are also essential.
