Role Overview

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will deliver high-quality, compassionate home care to enable clients to live independently with dignity and respect. Working across various Dublin locations, you will follow structured schedules ensuring consistent working hours.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and social support directly in clients’ homes.
  • Promote independence by ensuring dignity and respect through person-centred care approaches.
  • Assist with daily activities including mobility support, hygiene, dressing, meal preparation, and companionship.
  • Follow individualised care plans meticulously and maintain accurate daily documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, health and safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Collaborate closely with supervisors and management to maintain high standards of care.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Demonstrate qualities of care, reliability, trustworthiness, and dedication to client welfare.
  • Currently working towards or possessing a QQI Level 5 (or equivalent) qualification in Healthcare Support.
  • Completion of Care Skills and Care of the Older Person modules is mandatory.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Willingness to provide references and successfully clear Garda Vetting.
  • Prior care experience is advantageous but not essential if required modules are completed.
