Job description

Position Overview

We invite enthusiastic and motivated Health Visitors, both full-time and part-time, to join the Enfield Health Visiting teams focusing on the 0-5 years age group. Successful candidates will be contributing to the delivery of 'The Healthy Child Programme' in the Enfield area. The teams comprise Health Visitors, Community Staff Nurses, Community Nursery Nurses, and Health Visitor Assistants, all coordinated by a Team Lead. We emphasize a collaborative community approach, delivering quality care as a team, while supporting individual staff members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate independently within the Health Visiting Team managing a dedicated caseload of children and families to promote their health and development potential.
  • Handle an enhanced caseload collaboratively with other agencies to ensure high-quality care for families and children.
  • Engage in child protection activities including information gathering, assessment, making appropriate referrals, and active participation in case conferences and core group meetings.
  • Assess and monitor the health needs of the population served to implement evidence-based healthcare practices.
  • Initiate and advance public health initiatives in alignment with local and national objectives aimed at promoting, protecting, and improving community health while addressing health inequalities.
  • Support the Team Lead/Manager for Children and Young People (CYP) in fostering innovative practices within the team.
