Job description
Role overview
This senior position sits at corporate level within the Royal Free London Hospital Group and is responsible for driving delivery against all national cancer waiting times standards across every division. The role requires close partnership with divisional teams and cancer services to strengthen capability, meet performance targets and standards, and continuously enhance service quality.
Key purpose of the role
The post holder will be central to the Trust’s cancer waiting times (CWT) performance and access strategy, taking ownership of cancer performance delivery across the organisation. They will serve as the Lead Cancer Manager, working in partnership with the Head of Cancer Performance & Improvement, Lead Cancer Clinician, and Lead Cancer Nurse, under the direction of the Group Cancer Operational Director.
Stakeholder and system working
This role also represents the organisation at North Central London system meetings and contributes actively to internal and external project groups. The post holder will collaborate with other providers, the North Central London Cancer Alliance, and commissioning colleagues across the Integrated Care System and regional structures.
