Role Overview
We are seeking an influential Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) Specialist to join our team on an 8-month fixed-term contract starting September 2026, covering parental leave. This role supports our Commercial and Office-based employees across Australia and New Zealand. With a vision of “Safe and Well, Everyone, Everyday,” the HSW Specialist will be a critical partner to business leaders, focusing on strengthening safety culture, driving risk management, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing capability across Commercial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for HSW-related advice and guidance for Commercial Operations including on-the-road sales teams in Australia and New Zealand.
- Mentor and influence leaders and health & safety representatives to foster a proactive safety culture.
- Lead the execution of risk assessments and facilitate risk management workshops.
- Identify and escalate issues of non-compliance and ensure appropriate resolution.
- Design, develop, and deliver compelling HSW training programs.
- Support leadership and representative capability development in health, safety, and wellness.
- Analyze safety data to pinpoint areas for continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience delivering Health, Safety, and Well-being strategies within Corporate environments.
- Deep knowledge of Chain of Responsibility legal requirements.
- Strong ability to coach, influence, and cultivate trusted relationships across organizational levels.
- Experience creating effective HSW tools, resources, and training modules.
- Demonstrated success in promoting behavioural safety and driving cultural change initiatives.
- Sound understanding of Australian and New Zealand health and safety legislation.
- Passion for fostering safer and healthier work environments.
