  • Ensure complete compliance with applicable health and safety laws and company protocols.
  • Develop, review, and maintain project safety plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and investigations of incidents; ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
  • Monitor health and safety compliance among subcontractors and offer necessary support.
  • Champion a safety-first culture through visible leadership and active engagement with all project personnel.
  • Deliver safety briefings, toolbox talks, and training sessions for staff and subcontractors to enhance awareness.
  • Facilitate open reporting and discussion of safety matters and ensure lessons learned are communicated effectively.
  • Prepare and present detailed safety reports to project leadership and business units.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of site inspections, incidents, near misses, and remedial steps taken.
  • Collaborate with the Business Unit Head of Safety to standardize reporting and monitor performance metrics.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrable experience managing health and safety on sizeable construction projects.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a proven capacity to influence and engage personnel at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent organizational, reporting, and communication capabilities.
  • Competence in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks in dynamic project environments.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent occupational health and safety qualification.
  • Professional registration with IOSH or a similar professional organization.
  • Experience managing safety teams or site-based safety professionals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of occupational health initiatives and behavioral safety programs.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in health and safety, risk management, or related fields.
  • Additional training in behavioral safety and leadership coaching.
  • Insight into environmental and sustainability components relevant to project execution.

Benefits and Company Culture

  • Entitlement to 26 days of annual leave.
  • Participation in a pension scheme.

  • Opportunities for career growth and development.
  • Inclusive Total Rewards program enhancing overall employee satisfaction.
