Job description
Role overview
We are looking for a proactive Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer to support operations in Dammam. In this role, you will help ensure that workplace activities and facilities meet health, safety, and environmental requirements while contributing to a safer and healthier working environment.
What you will do
- Put HSE policies, procedures, and safety programs into practice and keep them under regular review.
- Carry out routine site checks and safety audits to verify alignment with company standards and regulatory obligations.
- Spot workplace hazards and complete risk evaluations.
- Review incidents, accidents, and near-miss events, then suggest corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for staff and other personnel.
- Maintain compliance with HSE standards, applicable regulations, and internal policies.
- Prepare and maintain HSE documentation, reports, and records.
- Support emergency response coordination and help strengthen the overall safety culture.
- Track adherence to safety expectations among contractors and employees.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in health, safety, and environmental performance.
What we are looking for
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a similar discipline.
- About 1 to 3 years of experience in HSE, safety, or a closely related function.
- Working knowledge of HSE rules, regulations, and safety standards.
- Experience or familiarity with risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits.
- Good communication skills and the ability to prepare clear reports.
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA certification is an advantage.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools.
- Must be willing to work on-site in Dammam.
