Job description
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer fluent in Arabic to support high-end villa construction projects in the UAE. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in construction safety management, particularly within luxury villa developments, and a deep understanding of UAE safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce adherence to all HSE policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Perform frequent site inspections to identify and mitigate risks or hazards.
- Lead safety inductions, facilitate toolbox talks, and organize emergency response exercises.
- Conduct thorough investigations of incidents and provide actionable recommendations for improvements.
- Oversee subcontractor compliance with HSE standards on site.
- Compile comprehensive safety reports, conduct risk assessments, and maintain all safety records.
- Cultivate and encourage a proactive safety culture throughout all project operations.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) is compulsory.
- Minimum of five years’ experience working as an HSE Officer in the UAE construction sector.
- Demonstrated experience specifically with luxury villa projects.
- Strong familiarity with UAE HSE regulations and OSHA safety standards relevant to construction.
- Proven skills in risk evaluation, site safety inspections, delivering toolbox talks, and investigating workplace incidents.
- Excellent proficiency in both spoken and written Arabic and English.
- Candidates available to join immediately or within 15 days are highly preferred.
