Overview
An opportunity has opened to join the Walk-In Service (Urgent Care) as a Health Care Support Worker. This role involves delivering patient-focused care in a fast-paced environment while working closely with GPs, nurses, and other staff members.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clinical staff by taking clinical observations and supporting safe patient care.
- Manage and restock equipment and supplies in store rooms and cupboards.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness within various departments.
- Provide coverage during staff breaks to ensure service continuity.
- Escort and support patients as needed within the Walk-In service.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of SVQ Level 3 in Health Care or equivalent experience, or willingness to pursue such qualifications.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage one's workload effectively.
- Previous experience in hospital settings or caregiving roles is advantageous.
- Membership in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is required prior to appointment.
Work Locations
The role requires flexibility to work across multiple NHS Fife sites including RWMH, VHK, QMH, and SACH.
