The Opportunity
We are looking for a dedicated Health and Safety Consultant to lead the establishment of a strong safety culture throughout a new deployment programme. This role requires ensuring that all deployment stages comply with the company's Networks' Safety Management Systems, policies, procedures, and standards.
You will operate in a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary setting, coordinating efforts with civil, mechanical, electrical, and environmental experts to deliver comprehensive solutions. Our teams serve prominent public and private sector clients, shaping sustainable water, wastewater, and environmental infrastructure.

Role Overview
The position will involve embedding a strong safety culture across the deployment programme, assuring safety integration in all planning and operations. Responsibilities include compliance monitoring, investigation and reporting of safety incidents, and addressing findings from audits, near misses, customer complaints, and safety notices.
You will manage contractor incident logs, conduct audits on deployment contractor safety and quality systems, review safety observations and reports, assess contractor performance indicators, and visit sites to support continuous improvement and safe work practices.

You will be a critical advocate for safety, integrating risk identification, compliance enforcement, and team engagement to prevent incidents and improve safety outcomes. Through audits and site presence, you will elevate standards, influence behavior, and ensure safe, responsible work delivery. - Subject matter expert in Health & Safety, applying knowledge across all deployment phases
- Collaboration with internal and contractor teams to uphold safety system compliance and legal obligations
- Active site auditing, visits, and reviews to monitor and promote best safety practices
- Data analysis to recognize safety trends and lead corrective and preventive initiatives
- Advocacy for a strong safety culture by influencing behaviors and challenging standards when necessary
