Role Overview
This position leads health, safety, and human-rights related practices across chemical operations, with a strong focus on meeting legal requirements and aligning with global standards. The role is also responsible for advancing a strong safety mindset and supporting sustainable business outcomes.
Key Focus Areas
- Own and guide health and safety practices for chemical manufacturing activities.
- Oversee business human rights considerations connected to operations.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internationally accepted best practices.
- Promote a strong safety culture and a zero-harm approach.
- Manage risk controls, safety reviews, and audit readiness.
- Support environmental compliance and ESG-related initiatives.
- Contribute to sustainability objectives across the business.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should bring knowledge of Indian EHS laws, international standards, process safety, ESG, and sustainability. The role also calls for strong communication, the ability to work across functions, leadership in driving interventions, comfort with ambiguity, and adaptability in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Eligibility
Applicants must hold a B.Tech / B.E. degree in Chemical Engineering.
