Role Overview
The Head of People Science position is an integral part of the Office of Organisational Capabilities (OCO) supporting the Chief Organisational Capabilities Officer. This team collaborates primarily with the People Team—corporate real estate, security, technology services, and people operations—to enhance the employee experience across physical, digital, and human domains. The goal is to boost employee motivation, develop skills, eliminate barriers, and optimize costs related to the People Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Enable broad access and usage of People data and insights across different user groups by improving automation, data security, and stability alongside the People Data Warehouse team.
- Develop tools and platforms for real-time insights and deeper analysis, including automated newsletters and nudges that align with People Team objectives.
- Create innovative products such as role redesign tools that empower employees and leaders to adapt to evolving work demands driven by AI impact.
- Produce predictive analyses around workforce metrics like attrition risk, skill development, engagement, and operational costs to inform proactive decisions.
- Translate complex data into clear executive narratives that facilitate informed decision-making at the leadership level.
- Design and implement science-based interventions to cultivate desired workplace behaviors on a broad scale.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- More than 10 years of experience in People Analytics, People Science, or Data Science, including over 3 years managing cross-functional data projects or behavioral interventions.
- Expertise in querying and managing extensive databases (e.g., SQL) and building predictive models using languages like R or Python.
- Experience supporting employee populations exceeding 5,000 with people data architectures or analytics.
- Proven ability to design and scale data-informed behavioral programs that produce measurable improvements in productivity and retention.
- Strong strategic and critical thinking capabilities, complemented by adaptability and process redesign skills.
- Proficient leadership skills to foster collaborative, results-driven teams.
- Business acumen with the ability to balance ethical considerations, data privacy, and organizational impact.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to engage senior leadership and varied teams.
