Job description

About the company

This is an early-stage venture built around a science-driven, longevity- and metabolic-health-focused product rooted in a mitochondrial-derived peptide identified in a leading U.S. laboratory. The business uses a lean, asset-light setup: medical care is delivered through a white-label telehealth partner and a friendly-PC model, while product fulfillment is handled through licensed 503A compounding pharmacies. The company is essentially the brand, demand generation, and a small operations core, and this hire will create and run that core.

Role overview

The Head of Telehealth Operations will own the operational infrastructure that converts the brand and its vendor network into a compliant, functioning system. This includes making sure the patient journey runs smoothly from intake through consultation, prescription, compounding, shipping, and refills across every state in scope, while keeping money flows and data flows accurate. The role supports both direct-to-consumer business and B2B2C partner fulfillment, and reports directly to the CEO while working closely with the commercial lead.

Core responsibilities

  • Lead the selection, setup, and rollout of the telehealth partner stack by managing the evaluation of enablers such as OpenLoop-, SteadyMD-, or Wheel-type providers, integrating the chosen partner, and launching it under the company brand.
  • Drive the project work for building the medical services organization and friendly-PC structure in partnership with healthcare counsel, with counsel providing legal guidance and this role owning execution.
  • Negotiate, contract, and oversee 503A compounding pharmacy partners, including service-level expectations, turnaround times, certificate-of-analysis discipline, and backup sourcing.
  • Design, monitor, and continually improve the full care pathway from patient intake to consultation, electronic prescription, fulfillment, shipment, and refill, including exception handling, refill timing, and dose adjustment operations.
  • Plan state-by-state market launch sequencing through multi-state licensing efforts and maintain an up-to-date state coverage matrix.
  • Oversee subscription billing, payment operations, KPI reporting, and the data room.
  • Create a compliant adverse-event intake and routing process aligned with MedWatch requirements, supported by fractional regulatory counsel.
  • Manage vendor agreements, statements of work, onboarding, and a centralized tracker that reduces founder administrative workload.

Ideal background

The right candidate has previously launched or run a direct-to-consumer telehealth or virtual care program, preferably in areas such as GLP-1s, hormones/TRT, peptides, or longevity. They should have hands-on experience working with OpenLoop-style enablers, operating inside a friendly-PC/MSO framework, and managing fulfillment through 503A or compounding pharmacies. The company is looking for someone with 6 to 12 years of operational experience in startup environments, not large enterprises, and who is highly organized, decisive, and effective at closing loops with vendors and counsel. The role also requires enough regulatory fluency to coordinate partners and attorneys around CPOM/MSO fundamentals, 503A versus 503B differences, advertising limits for compounded drugs, and adverse-event reporting.

Nice to have

Helpful extras include experience operating in CPOM-restricted states such as California, New York, New Jersey, or Texas, existing relationships with telehealth enablers or 503A pharmacies, and some comfort with data analysis or operational metrics.

Not a fit

This position is not suited to leaders from large organizations who require extensive teams and established processes, executive assistants or coordinators, or strategists who prefer presentations over hands-on integration work.

Work setup

The role is fully remote and reports to the CEO.
